Ximena Echagüe è una fotografa documentarista e di strada
belga-argentina, attualmente residente a Bruxelles e sempre in movimento, che cattura l'essenza
della vita attraverso il suo obiettivo.
Il lavoro di Ximena è stato esposto in più di 20 Paesi in Europa, America e Asia. Il suo portfolio comprende 5 mostre personali (tra cui quelle al Parlamento europeo, a Bruxelles, e alle Nazioni Unite, a New York) e oltre 80 mostre collettive. Riconosciuta da pubblicazioni prestigiose come il New York Times, BBC News e Washington Post, la sua fotografia è stata pubblicata anche su Fotografiska NYC, Leica Fotografie International, L'Oeil de la Photographie, LensCulture, National Geographic, PH Museum, Street Photography Foundation e molte altre, ed è stata nominata per il Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2021.
L'impegno di Ximena nel promuovere e sostenere altri artisti è evidente attraverso la sua partecipazione come curatrice, giudice e produttrice, oltre che come mentore per "La Vie en Bleu", un programma di residenza e mostra fotografica a Nizza, in Francia.
Nel 2024 ha pubblicato il suo primo libro intitolato "TRAPPED", edito da Daylight Books, premiato dalla Federazione europea dei fotografi professionisti (FEP). Parte delle sue fotografie sono presenti nella collezione del Museum of the City of New York, dell'International Center of Photography di New York e di diversi collezionisti privati.

Ximena's work has been exhibited in more than 20 countries across Europe, America, and Asia. Her portfolio includes 5 solo exhibitions (including at the European Parliament, Brussels, and the United Nations, New York) and over 80 group exhibitions. Recognized by prestigious publications such as the New York Times, BBC News, and the Washington Post, her photography has also been featured in Fotografiska NYC, Leica Fotografie International, L'Oeil de la Photographie, LensCulture, National Geographic, PH Museum, Street Photography Foundation, among many others, and she has been nominated for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2021.
Ximena's commitment to promoting and supporting other artists is evident through her participation as a curator, judge, and producer, as well as being a mentor for "La Vie en Bleu," a Residency and Photography Exhibition Program in Nice, France.
In 2024, she released her first book titled "TRAPPED," published by Daylight Books, awarded by the European Federation of Professional Photographers (FEP). Part of her photography is in the collection of the Museum of the City of New York, the International Center of Photography, New York, as well as several private collectors.
